The American Academy of Pediatric Dentists recommends a dental home to be established by your child’s first birthday. At this first appointment, we will have the opportunity to meet your child and provide invaluable information in building the foundation for your child’s oral health.

At Firewheel Dentistry for Kids, we have an exciting underwater theme where kids are thrilled to see different sea creatures in the office. Each child is able to choose and watch a movie while their dental treatment is being completed by our highly trained team. The team member will introduce your child to all the equipment in the treatment area starting with the “tooth camera” all the way to our “spin brush”! Our kid-friendly language will put your child at ease as they become comfortable in their new environment. Please let us know if there are any special concerns regarding your child to ensure an appointment that will be tailored to your child’s individual needs.

As a board-certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Julie will complete a thorough head and neck examination, including an examination of the teeth, gums, and how the teeth come together. Radiographs, if taken, will be evaluated and recommendations will be made for your child’s teeth. We are fortunate to have an experienced network of orthodontists, oral surgeons, cosmetic dentists, endodontists, and periodontists to be able to provide comprehensive care for all our patients.
